2020 2nd Campus Traffic Safety Awareness Campaign and Free Bike

Safety Inspection  during NTU Bicycle Week

Objective: Through the campus traffic awareness information session and the free bicycle safety inspection service, we hope to encourage NTU students to keep their bikes in excellent and safe working conditions. In addition, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of abiding by bicycling etiquette, nighttime bike-riding safety and parking bicycles only in authorized zones.
Organizer/Service provider: Staff from Student Safety Centre, lecturers, technicians of Siao Fu Bicycle Shop
Eligibility: NTU students (200 students are expected to be served)
To receive a service voucher for free bicycle safety inspection, you must (1) sign up online at the NTU Events and Activities Registration website and (2) attend the Campus Traffic Safety Awareness information session for students. Bring the service voucher, along with your valid student ID card, to Siao Fu Bicycle Shop during the event for free bike safety inspection.
5.Available bike safety inspection services: Safety checks on bicycle parts and components, proper inflation of tires, lubrication of chains, and simple adjustments. We also provide free replacement for major safety-related parts, including brake pads and brake cables, and brake cable sleeves (if necessary). Other than those, the replacement for the rest is optional and fee-based, such as pedals, kickstands, saddles, tires and inner tubes, front baskets, and cargo racks. We will also be communicating bicycling etiquette and safety tips to the students, such as refraining from parking without authorization, riding with passenger(s) and riding in dismount zones (where cyclists are required to walk along with their bikes). The activity will also provide noctilucent stickers for the students to improve nighttime bike-riding safety.
